What can we measure?

Circadian forecast of performance capability

The Circadian Forecast of Performance Capability shows the individual performance curve within the period of 24 hours; the time of the HRV measurement is highlighted as a dot on the curve. The depiction illustrates performance peaks and gaps as well as the wake-sleep-rhythm including the deep sleep phases and their quality. On the abscissa (horizontal axis of the co-ordinate system) the time is shown in hours; on the ordinate (vertical axis of the co-ordinate system) the energy level of the biorhythms are depicted as a percentage.


Good sleep quality: In the time after 22:00 hrs the curve slopes downward and reaches the first energy peak of the day approx. between 6:00 hrs and 7:00 hrs.

Impaired sleep quality: The curve successively slopes upward between 21:00 hrs and 22:00 hrs and slopes downward not until about 4:00 hrs to slope slowly upward again between 6:00 hrs and 8:00 hrs.

Why negative thoughts harm us (OCD - obsessive-compulsive disorder)

Thoughts and the meanning we give them trigger emoons. Anger, for example, increases the amount of the hormone adrenaline in the blood and increases blood sugar levels, which in turn increases the blood flow to the heart, lungs, brain and muscles. Thus, the organism is prepared for battle and survival in a vital threat. And this can even take the form of a sitting activity at one's desk. 


Health and well-being are directly dependent on the proper functioning of the autonomic nervous system. 

In healthness the influences of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems alternate with one another without falling into extremes. Shift in this health balance, e.g. due to stress and in particular persisting stress, can be identified and analysed.

The frequency spectrum diagram shows the percentage activity level in the distribution of the three frequency segments:

While breathing, heart rate and pulse work synchronously, the brain waves are also involved. Therefore, a good recovery rate will lead to clearer thinking and increased efficiency. In an ever faster accelerang world mulple stress peaks per day / per week / per year are the norm. The principle question is: Wich vital strategies are right for me to refuel again and again?

The Spline-Map of Electrical Activity is a cerebral matrix simulation wich illustrates the active functional areas of the central nervous system. The data derives from the neuron's activity within the cell structures of the different areas. The software captures every 50 heartbeats the respective data and projects the total of all information as a two-dimensional animation.

With the aid of the colours and percentages the current psycho-emotional state can be assessed. Moreover, topographic knowledge of the brain allows to further specify the measuring result and to draw additional conclusions regarding the cerebral activity.

Your organism needs stress - but: Prolonged and excessive levels make you sick.

Without the influence of earth gravitiy no muscle growth can take place. Controllable stress has a positive effect on mental and physical health. Leading the way in clinical research around the topic of "stress" is the stress theory of the physician Hans Selye, published in 1950. He demonstrated that especially cortisol (hydrocortisone) in humans is released under stess in larger quantities.  Selye realised that one gets sich when the body tries to adapt to prolonged, intense stress without having compensatory influences, activities and opportunities. With increased cortisol levels, fad pads are no longer sufficiently broken down by the body. This means that permanent stress can also lead to obesity.


Your biological age

Each of us can be biologically younger than our calender age. Our actual biological age is dependant on our genes and our way of life. An HRV measurement can be used to calculate how good the constitution is and how lifestyle impacts on age.

Aging processes are intensified if the organism does not have sufficient opportunities for regeneration and compensation. The gerontological curve from the HRV measurement allows for conclusions to be drawn about the biological age of the body.

Energy reserves

We gain the energy for our daily activities from our cells. The count and the function level of the so-called "mitochondria" (the power plants of each cell) determine for example how much oxygen we can use in our body. That is why exercise and diet in conjunction with our resilience play such a key role. The cells react highly sensitively to excessive stress due to the micronutrient deficiency and lack of oxygen supply - among experts this is known as "oxidative / nitrosative stress".

The pyramid shows with the aid of blue (anabolic = construct) and red (catabolic = break down) elements and values the energetic balance in the different organs and subsystems. It contrasts the energy absorption with the energy consumption of the organism. This energy balance represents the dynamics of the "Neurodynamic Matrix".

Peripheral Brain Frequency Continuum

The electric activities of the brain during the measurement are closely related to the psycho-emotional state and are located in a certain frequency spectrum. This spectrum is divided in:


l: Stress / stress-induced depletion of resources

Indicates the systemic tendency towards reversible or chronic stress. A chronic stress situation can be assumed with values of approx. 50 % and beyond.


ll: Mental Desynchronisation

Indicates the impact of recovery and regeneration deficiencies on the organism, causative for it likely the absence of the REM sleep phase. The higher the percentage is, the higher the degree of the desynchronisation.


lll: Cognitive Integration

Represents a state, wich is characterised by a cognitive receptivity in conjunction with a well-balanced mental clarity. The higher the percentage is, the higher the degree of the cognitive integration.


lV: Cognitive Capabilitiy

Refers to the capability and the fortitude to act actively, confidently and purposefully with ease of mind and composure. The cognitive capability describes the degree of coherence of all rhthms and hence an inner order in the awake state with an efficient (i.e. small) energy expenditure or resourceconsumption. The higher the percentage is, the higher the degree of cognitive capability.


V: Psycho - emotional Desynchronisation

Indicates the psycho-emotional resource activities / the psycho-emotional resource demand. An incre- ased percentage value can be of positive nature, e. g. due to event-dependent, temporarily boosted attention and concentration for dealing with apperceived performance requirements. However, high values can be of negative character when being event-independent and enduring. These include stress and inner unrest, anxieties and worries as well as severe manifestations of mental disorders, e. g. control obsession, depressions, paranoia up to schizophrenic behaviour patterns. In the analysis the interaction between the psycho-emotional desynchronisation and frequency sections I and II should be considered.
